Saving data to Center

Center is a fantastic way to automate the passing of contact data from one service to another. But Center also stores your data automatically. 

When you create a rule, you’ll see a little note below the action section to remind you that Center is going to save the data. 

To view your contact data, click on the rule whose contacts you’d like to see from your Center dashboard. Then, click the Contacts tab.

You’ll be able to view contact emails and other helpful data. Center automatically shows additional information based on your rule’s segment—in the example above, we can see how much of our Wistia video each contact watched.

Getting data out of Center

The action portion of your rule is the best way to move contact data to a specific list/service. Ideally, you’ll configure your actions as you set up your rule, but sometimes you’ll want to forward data to a new destination. Follow the steps below to do that. 

  1. In your list of rules, click the action menu of the rule in question, and select Duplicate.
  2. Scroll down to the Set up your actions portion of the new rule. There, you can remove and add actions as needed. 
  3. Name and activate your duplicated rule. Once it’s running, Center will apply your new actions to any contacts that have met your rule’s segment.

This effectively allows you to “forward” contact data to a new list or service. You can repeat the steps above as needed to apply new actions to your contacts.
