How To Configure a MailChimp List to Accept Opt-ins via Leaddigits

Some integrations require specific formats for the lists/forms in order to work with Leaddigits. MailChimp is one such integration. In this article you will be guided through configuring your MailChimp list to accept opt-ins submitted via Leaddigits. 


 

Step 1: Log into MailChimp, and open the list you wish to send Leaddigit opt-ins to.

Step 2: Click on “Signup forms.”


Step 3: Select General forms. 

While it's possible to configure your list with any of the form types listed by MailChimp, to ensure it functions with Leaddigits you will want to select General forms. 

Step 4: Click Phone in the “Add a field” list to the right of your form.

Step 5: Select the phone format.

Select International if the collected numbers will be from outside of the United States. If, however, the numbers will be collected in the United States, select (###) ### - #### from the drop-down.

PLEASE NOTE: If a list is being used for more than just your Leaddigit you will want to leave Required field option unchecked, so that if someone doesn't want to provide their number they can still opt into your offer.  

Step 6: Save the phone number field.

Step 7: Verify the field has been successfully added to your MailChimp list.
