Publishing Your Leadpage to a Custom URL

By default, all pages hosted by Leadpages are published to a URL that shows leadpages.co in the address. For example, https://yoursubdomain.leadpages.co/your-page-name.

Our domain mapping feature is the easiest way to publish your pages to a custom domain (purchased outside of Leadpages). Once it’s set up, you can publish any Leadpage to a custom subdomain, e.g. http://register.yourpersonaldomain.com/your-page.

The fine print

There are a couple items you should know before setting up your custom domain.

  • We don’t currently support https:// domains. You must use a domain that begins with http://.
  • Only one custom domain can be connected to your account at a time.

We do provide a few other options for publishing pages to a custom domian. While they can be trickier to set up, other publishing options provide more flexibility. To learn more, please see: Can I Use My Own Personal Domain for My Leadpages?

Connect your domain

Here’s how to set up your custom domain:

Part 1: Add your domain to Leadpages

  1. Click your name in the top-right corner of your account dashboard, then click “Custom Domains.”
  2. Press Connect Domain
  3. Enter your domain in the “Your Domain URL” field, e.g. mysite.com (you don’t need to include “www”).
  4. Click Connect Domain again.
  5. Choose a subdomain, then click Create

Each page you publish to your custom domain will use the same subdomain, so we recommend choosing one that works with what you plan to publish. For instance, you might use “webinar” if you plan on publishing many webinar registration pages to your domain.

TIP: To publish pages to your domain without using a subdomain, you’ll need to use another publishing option.

Part 2: Add the subdomain to your domain provider

Once you connect your domain to Leadpages, you must configure your domain provider so it supports your chosen subdomain. To do so, follow the on-screen steps for your domain provider (as shown below). Or, click on your domain provider’s name in the right-hand sidebar to access more detailed instructions.

If you have questions or need additional support with adding your subdomain to your domain provider, please kindly consult their documentation and support options for assistance.

NOTE: It can take anywhere from a few minutes to 24 hours for your domain provider to make the connection with Leadpages and properly map your domain. If you still see a “Pending Connection” message after 24 hours, follow the publishing steps below, which can sometimes resolve the issue. Frequently asked questions

Can I configure additional custom domains?

Not at this time. Each Leadpages account comes with one custom subdomain — but you can publish an unlimited number of pages to this domain.

Is it possible to publish pages hosted at Leadpages to my primary URL (without a subdomain)?

To publish pages directly to your primary URL, you’ll need to host them on your own server. To learn more about it, please see: Can I Use My Own Personal Domain for Leadpages.

Will other Leadpages features continue to work for pages published to my custom domain?

Yes! Integrations, analytics, and split testing are supported for pages published via our domain mapping feature.
