How to use Hidden Form Fields

Hidden form fields give you another layer of customization to use.

PLEASE NOTE: Hidden form fields access is intended for advanced users and is included in Leadpages templates as well as in LeadBoxes.

How to access Hidden Form Fields

If this is a Leadpage click any call to action button that is linked to an opt-in form to bring up its settings. 

For a Leadbox, you'll already be on this screen. Find the Hidden Form fields section and click Show advanced options….

Hidden Fields Creation

Hidden fields can be created in 3 different ways

1. By your Email Service Provider (ESP) system

Some hidden fields are created and pre-populated automatically by your autoresponder system.

2. By you inside your ESP account

Some ESPs will allow you to create or define a field as Hidden. In the example below, the “Website” field was defined as Hidden within InfusionSoft.

3. By you inside Leadpages

To hide a field, click the Show advanced options… link.

Now, click on the field that you wish to hide.

Click on the Field Role drop-down and choose Hidden.

Pre-populate your form field as needed and click Okay.

Here's how your opt-in form will look now:


Pre-populating Hidden Fields

Hidden form fields can be pre-populated in the same way as any other fields.
