Subdomain Frequently-Asked Questions

 

This article will answer our most frequently-asked questions about working with subdomains.

 

Q: What is my subdomain for?

A: Your subdomain name is part of the 'address' where all your pages will be hosted on our servers. In other words, your pages will have a URL similar to this one:

https://SUBDOMAIN.leadpages.co/page-name-here


 

Q: How should I choose my subdomain name?

A: If you create pages for multiple niches, businesses or clients, you might want to choose a generic subdomain name. It could be anything that relates to all the possible niches, or it could be your brand name, etc.

Q: How many subdomains does each account have?

A: Each Leadpages account has one subdomain.

Even though you have one subdomain name for your Leadpages account, you can publish your Leadpages to your own server on any domain you own by publishing to your own server, using either WordPress or HTML. Publishing to your own server creates pages that have URLs similar to these:

http://wordpressdomain.com/page-name-here

http://anotherdomain.com/page-name-here.html

Q: Can I change my subdomain?

A: It’s important that you choose your subdomain carefully to avoid disrupting your marketing efforts. However, we can change your subdomain on a per-request basis. Changing your subdomain will change the URL of all the pages you have published, so we will ask you to confirm this change.
