This article outlines the steps necessary to use the Countdown Timer feature in your Leadpages.
How The Standard Countdown Timer Works
With the standard Leadpage countdown, you simply select a date that you want the offer to expire. That offer expires at the same time for everybody.
Step 1: Locate the 'Countdown Timer' settings in the Page Editor.
(For this tutorial, we are using the Webinar 3.0 Page (Two-Hosts & High CTA Button) template.)
Step 2: Click on the small gear icon and select 'Countdown Options' as shown below:
PLEASE NOTE: You can also access the date/time settings by clicking onto the timer in the preview pane on the right by clicking on the small gear as you hover over the countdown timer.
Step 3: Select the date and time for your timer to end.
Click on the date in the calendar and click 'Done.' The time will be set relative to the time zone on the device you are using. In other words, if you are editing your page on your computer, your computer's time zone will be used for the timer.
Additionally, on some templates, it's possible to change the text for Days, Hours, Minutes and Seconds.
Click the small gears next to the elements to edit this text as shown here:

PLEASE NOTE: These are all templates for our Standard Builder. All Drag & Drop templates have the ability to include a countdown timer.
If you're looking for an Evergreen Countdown Timer:
With an Evergreen Countdown timer, every user gets a custom date, defined by you. For example, you might create an offer that expires in 48 hours. If that user comes back to your page in 17 hours, it will display only 31 hours left on the offer. If they come back after that 48 hours are up, it will redirect to the URL you define in the template. If a different user comes to your landing page in, say, 5 days, they will also get a 48 hour countdown, starting from the moment they first land on your page.
A template with an Evergreen Countdown Timer is available in our Marketplace (there may be others, as new templates are being added daily).
