We secure all pages on our servers by default, and fully support SSL and HTTPS protocols. Whether you use your account subdomain on
lpages.co or connect your own domain, your pages are secure.
How it works
We use a third-party service to automatically obtain a browser-trusted certificate to secure each custom domain.
This process is always automatic—you don’t have to take care of any extra setup. If you’d like to learn more, we use Let’s Encrypt. You can get technical details on their website ↗
What happens when your pages are securely hosted? Well, a few things:
- all page URLs will begin with
- data that visitors submit through forms (including Checkouts) is secure
- browsers will indicate that your page is secure
Essentially, your visitors will be able to trust their information is secure when they’re on your page.
How to keep your page secure
While we take care of securing your page through HTTPS, you’ll need to make sure you don’t include HTTP content on your page. The only time you’ll run into this risk is if you include custom HTML on your page (such as an embedded video or third-party form tool).
When including HTML on your page, make sure the content is being served over HTTPS. You can usually tell by looking for a
src attribute in your HTML. It should link to a URL that begins with
https://, for instance:
Sometimes, content may be secure but you won’t see
https:// in your HTML. That’s okay—just be sure to test your page and make sure you don’t see any “mixed content” warnings in your browser.

Frequently asked questions
Can I connect an existing secure domain to Leadpages?
If you map your domain to Leadpages, we’ll supply an SSL certificate for your subdomain only. You’ll remain responsible for the security of any pages on your root domain.
Are pages published to WordPress or as HTML secure?
It depends on your server. If your site is secure (whether on WordPress or another platform), any Leadpages you publish there should also be secure.
